Its widely considered as the standard metric for general intelligence.
That’s not to say it is perfect or doesnt have gaps, it doesn’t assess creativity, EQ, rational thinking, wisdom or impacts from socioeconomic.
However what is does measure are things like abstract reasoning, pattern recognition, working memory.
Its one of the strongest single predictors of academic performance, job complexity learning, and overall occupational success, and those things pretty obviously correlated with general intelligence.

These data centers are for AI to scrape data from you, that’s it.
Dont conflate things.
IQ is actually one of the most stable metrics we have for intelligence. It does change with brain development but its also a comparative amongst your age group so your IQ remains very stable throughout your life.
It’s not to say you didnt mess up on your test at one point, or that someone who is having a mental episode cant distort it via anxiety or whatever

74·14 days agoThat’s cool and all but what is anyone supposed to do about it?
Canadian cities are centered around cars.
Winters are harsh, summers are plenty hot.
Most power is supplied via 80% non fossil fuels and trending in the right direction.
Obviously theres room for improvement but Canada is just not positioned to have low per capita emissions, it will always be lagging on this point.

Regardless of that, it still fails to address the very legitimate copyright concerns.
