I mean, if they had the chance, Iran would have assassinated him. And several dozen other countries, a few million of his citizens and many of his close relatives.
Whether they had actually tried or not is anybody’s guess, but he didn’t seem to mind the last assassination attempt, which is an interesting shower thought.
