Easter Sunday is a federal holiday and there’s plenty of people who still have to work. If voting day becomes a federal holiday, states that don’t like the idea of poor people voting will do away with early voting.
If voting day was a holiday, only people who get federal holidays off would get the day off. But it would be a great excuse to get rid of early voting.
Easy fix (that almost every other country uses): vote on Sunday.
