Anyone trying to buy a souvenir at the official Olympic stores at the Milano Cortina Games will have been exposed to an issue troubling Europe’s policymakers: the dominance of foreign payment providers and the fading role of cash.

Well, its good that people aren’t able to give the corruption machine money

WERO can’t happen fast enough, however. No longer should the US fiscal sector cream 2% off of european transactions.

Wero now, please. I like iDeal and would love that to be more normal. I don’t like Visa or Mastercard, and don’t think credit purchasing should be normal.

I saw a post on LinkedIn of someone claiming that it should be easy for the European Banks to develop a common brand, Wero for instance, for debit cards. Europeans love debit anyway, so that would be great.

Develop a credit card system would be more complicated and costly, he argued. He knew about the technicalities of the issue…

I would love a Wero debit card.
