It’s also pretty poor vs. poor. If you’re going to gate keep the airport, where is the flex about some high tier lounge where you had a beer with a B-list celeb and they served whatever ridiculous stuff they claim those lounges have to sell passes? Lobster ravioli made by some Italian chef from Maine or whatever.
I aint see no celebs, but last time i flew my sister and her husband had a couple guess passes. It was great. Still pretty crowded, but especially once they flew out and i snagged a personal booth… whewweee it was worth it. At the price of nothing.
I dont fly often enough to give a dam, but for people who fly regularly it might be worth checking. My brother in law isnt rich afaik, but he definitely has a well paying job and is responsible. Travel is their big thing, so I see how it makes sense for them.
My spouse and I fly a lot, and have a credit card where we can get an annual pass for the price of going once. But that’s for the lowest tier, cattle call lounge. The business class lounges for individual airlines are usually nicer.
It varies by airport, but by the time I get a beer, some food, some coffee, etc. I’ve already saved $80.
