I think Fedora is best of both worlds, if you want something closer to current Linux kernels/mesa for things like gaming, but don’t want to run a rolling release distro like Arch. Been running Fedora for about a year now and couldn’t be happier with the transition.
That said, if you aren’t gaming and just want absolute stability, no matter what, Mint or Debian ARE the go-to solutions to use. They are the Toyota Hilux of distros.
@chronicledmonocle@cannedtuna every time i’ve tried to install Fedora on a 4 year old PC with AMD Ryzen 9 and AMD GPU, either the graphics glitch during the install and i cant do anything, or it locks up on the desktop (both gnome and KDE). I havnt tried it in about 6 months but debian always just works.
Now Im not a intense gamer, I play Factorio and DeeRock Galactic almost exclusively

Mint and Debian are fine for gaming, too, if you’re the patient type who doesn’t buy games unless they’re severely discounted.

Fedora lost me when I went to install and saw the partition manager , completely user hostile .
