It’s an interesting situation though. One human rights abuser accusing another of abusing human rights. Are they wrong? Not really, but it’s definitely unsavory.
No country is the platonic ideal of human rights, but Iran’s human rights abuses can’t hold a candle to the US’, even if you include the gross exaggerations that imperial core states and their media smear Iran with.
I think the sad part is that if we went back and forth sharing each country’s atrocities, we probably would finish equally depressed. There’s no winner in that argument.
Anyone who takes US’ accusations of human rights abuses seriously, seriously deserves abuse.
