I mean, yes, but NASA has a substantial return on investment compared to other government ventures. The tools developed and lessons learned about surviving in inhospitable environments will be critical in dealing with the climate crisis.

I’d much rather healthcare come from decreases in the DOD budget and/or taxing the ultra wealthy.

Don’t bother with OP they will constantly espouse the worst opinion, and always at the expense of liberal sciences and thinking.

This is the same poster claiming any association with liberal principles is tantamount to genocide…

You could literally create the healthcare solution to their problems and they’d still call you a genocidal enemy because they aren’t in this for a solution, they are n it for any excuse to make an enemy… one that seems to always impugn liberals and never mentions conservatives… such a weird coincidence, how it keeps happening and happening…

They aren’t worth the engagement. Down vote stupidity and move on…

Conservatives are just another flavor of Liberal. As leftists we oppose all kinds of Liberalism, whether it’s the conservative bootstrappy kind or the Nordic welfare state model, everything that preserves the dominance of capital over people is a net evil on the world.

As to why leftists tend to criticize Democrats more than Republicans in the context of US politics: no one who supports the GOP wants a better world. Lots of people who do want a better world have been fooled into thinking that the Democrats are fighting for that better world and need to be disillusioned so that they will join the actual fight for a better world, instead of wasting their time and effort on supporting the controlled opposition.

That would’ve been awesome. Though we are already in it, so the only way to advance is through management and resolution.
