I get it… And if I lived there and had to vote I would absolutely do more thinking on it, but my view from afar is why can’t we just find people to run with these campaign platforms who don’t have Nazi tattoos? It isn’t that hard.

Political Memes@lemmy.world•Lindsey Graham needs to do something about the Hagia Sophia
3·1 month agoThe only connection I could make that would make sense to someone like that is Türkiye is near Georgia and so is South Carolina, therefore it’s in the US… but I’ve learned you should never try to ascribe logic or reason in situations like this. There is none. It’s almost like they use a random word generator in their attempts to manufacture the outrage of the day.

Technology@lemmy.world•Leak Shows ICE Planning to Use Facial Recognition Glasses to Identify Targets in Real TimeEnglish
2·1 month agoI’m no expert, but I was under the impression that their tools use not only facial recognition that can (with a non-perfect record) identify people wearing nose and below masks, but also identifies based on cell phone and geographic data. So if someone plans on relying on beating facial recognition, they’ll need to also beat the other tools in use by wearing a full mask, not carry a cell phone, etc.
Is the attempted ramming in the room with us?
