There was a great deal of naïveté, immaturity, and a search for comfort in what I used to say then. But I think that probably we were not wasting time. Despite the passions of war, we were living in a different world. Perhaps for the world that is to come. If these words are too bold, forgive me. And our being here now is probably also for that other world. Do you think that were it not for the hope that that other world will come and the rights of man return, that we would survive in this camp for even a single day? It is hope that makes people go apathetically to the gas chambers; it makes them not risk rebellion, it entraps them in torpor. It is hope that severs family bonds, that makes mothers deny their children, makes wives sell themselves for bread and husbands kill people. It is hope that makes them struggle for every day of life because perhaps that very day will bring liberation. Oh, not even hope for another, better world, but simply for a life in which there will be peace and rest. Never in human history has a stronger hope existed in man, but also never has it caused as much evil as in this war, as in this camp. We were not taught to relinquish hope, and that is why we are perishing in the gas.

You are not wrong that this should include a link to the doc in the screenshot. But I think you are wrong in how you demanded it. This instagated a emotional response from me, so I’m sorry about that. Also, accusations of posting clickbait and adding to an echo chamber are inappropriate.

2. This is really happening, this is legal evidence used to send people to concentration camps or deport them (sometimes to countries they have never been)

Remember, not everything you don’t like needs to be accused of something, you can just simply help fix it sometimes, which I guess we are doing now.

Agreed. Also I would rather read the archwiki than loads of outdated faq posts when troubleshooting an issue.

I guess a lot of accurate text is intimidating compared to a concise message that is very confident.

I’ve also seen people just refuse to read an error message. I think this is from using Microsoft products that never have accurate error messages.
