It says that it’s from the 2015 documentary. It’s linked, but not transcribed. I’ve not listened to it yet so I can’t say either way.
Were it me, I could see myself regretting the general event (händelsen), and the whole thing around it. Don’t think I’d regret punching a nazi. They have it coming.
I don’t put much stock in those opinion polls on account of never having been polled myself, nor do I know anyone that’s ever been polled. Like if you poll a thousand people that’s bothered to look up these institutes and sign up to be their polling partners or whatever, I don’t think that’s going to be a very good representation of the entire population.
To provide context to anyone that wonders about this, the woman with the handbag wasn’t proud of the event. She faced harassment for it, and for a while she and her partner lived under police protection. She committed suicide at the age of 41, around 3 years after this photo was taken.
Her son is unhappy with the image being used as propaganda.
It’s also worth noting that the votes were held in 1972 and 1994. That last one was ~31 years ago. A decent chunk of people have since been born, grown up, and had a say in a lot of other things since then.
Here in Sweden we had a referendum about switching over to the Euro back in 2003. I remember this, but I was in like third grade at the time, so I didn’t get a say. Now as an adult, if we had one today I think I’d vote yes.
Personally I don’t think it’s reasonable to say “we voted on this 50 years ago and decided it’s a no.” Like yeah, Sweden voted against the Euro 23 years ago, sure, but I didn’t vote. Would the vote be held again today, would it still be a no?
It’s clickbait. Since AI is tangentially related they can drive engagement by headlining it, even if the actual crux of the situation isn’t about that.
The Ribbon interface is terrible, though. The styles selector doesn’t fit the entire button, and it also doesn’t resize with your window size, remaining super tiny not capable of displaying three full options simultaneously.
Word at least got that right.
My preferred layout is Sidebar, but even there the style is just a regular dropdown. LibreOffice is fantastic, but they need to put some more work into UX.

Yeah I was looking for a transcription because I’m not quite in the mood to sit and listen to a documentary right now, but I might tomorrow.
Edit: that article kind of pisses me off. “We don’t get money to make our content accessible.”
We all pay taxes for that content, including deaf people. They should have equal access to it.
Granted this could be a right-wingers thing. I think they restricted how detailed SVT can report on things because “state owned media would unfairly compete with private media otherwise.” Fucking bollocks.
