Wow, yes. I think it goes both ways though, relying on the AI for the human part of your work (design, writing) makes you more stupid. But yes my direct boss is an Elon fanboy, ChatGPT devotee and his thinking is slow. He’s not exactly stupid, there is stuff he’s good at, but doesn’t quickly make connections, and it sure seems like it’s related to the ChatGPT.
Yeah, same. Every day, no matter what happens, I wake up happy not to have to go to school. For decades now, the knowledge I don’t have to go to school has brought me joy daily. It was the worst “job” of my life so far, by far. College not as bad (I did work and have kids between, went as an adult) but work has still been better, and certainly pays better.
At least I am paid to sit at the computer. Hated being a kid, no freedom. Adult, responsibility, sure, but paid to work, go where I want, choose how to spend my time and honestly plenty of choice in HOW I get my paid work done.
Yeah my husband seems to think onlyfans is easy money, like I could just post a nude and money would come rolling in magically, talks about how much big earners are making on YouTube too, but hustling like that is so much harder than having a job, you have to be organized and ambitious and then for every one person making thousands, there are many thousands of people making pennies.
It’s so much easier to just have a job.
I love the mouthy golbat in Pokemon go. Play him just to see that gaping maw! He is all mouth, the design is just awesome.
