How is an ambulance ride $5k though? Do EMTs make like $2500 p/h?

That was a bit of a garden path sentence for me, was expecting it to say something like: “when healthcare is so good patients start to run after ambulances because they want to be inside them once more”
Without a doubt, we’ve peaked… Only question is what comes next… Terminator, planet of the apes, or maybe just another desolate empty planet similar to mars…

Germany should probably just give them the arms instead of a loan to buy it…
the way I do it is I use two computers 😅
(especially ctrl-k for killing from your cursor position to the end of the line ctrl-a for jumping to the beginning of a line and ctrl-e for jumping to the end of a line)
I haven’t tried emacs but in any other text editor for these things I’d do:
- shift+end, del
- home
- end
do you have any more complex examples where emacs excels?

2·17 days agoI do sometimes, but sometimes it’s because my headphones are plugged into my monitor and I have 2 monitors and it sometimes chooses the wrong one and I don’t know how to disable the other one in the gui in mint and haven’t bothered to do it in command line yet 😅. Other times it’s because my monitor has very temperamental displayport and hdmi ports and it gets disconnected if I bump the desk, but that happens regardless of what operating system I’m using.
some Linux users are also current windows users 😅
I can’t stop you from breaking the whole system when you try to configure something and you do it wrong 😅
