hopefully time is up for him and Hungary can get a chance at some justice and real improvement.
I’d like that, would likely do the whole of Hungary a lot of good

It’s so crazy he continues to play Putins friend and acts like Ukraine is the bad guy here.

YouTube Premium for the family (24 eur a month), no substitute in sight
Not saying this will be a no effort switch, but imo the best substitute in sight would be the open seas. There is tons of ways to get the benefits of premium, without giving money to google. But it is a lot easier for a single adult to figure this out than it is for a whole family so no judgement and seeing you did so as a solution to Disney+ i know i’m not telling you about novel idea, but still wanted to write not paying for the original is sometimes more possible than paying for an alternative.

Yes, but this remains the BuyEuropean comm, not the BoycotAmerica comm

Imagine a label actually saying “100% China free production”, “100% Russia free production”, “100% US free production”, because that means it is more eco-friendly and less slave-labour etc

On March 3rd, the government supported the Ministry of the Interior’s proposal for mandatory registration of prepaid SIM card users from October 1st. This would mean that it would no longer be possible to purchase and use prepaid SIM cards anonymously – they would have to be registered in the name of a specific person.

Disagreements with the US aren’t “internal”
I agree, i meant internal between ‘neutral’ European countries, like the UK and Cyprus. We should not stand with the US.

The UK does not allow the US to use it for offensive missions. I agree with you that Iran has every right to fight back, but if you hit me in the face and i hit your brother that is not ‘fighting back’. Iran is horizontally expanding the war because that strategy is most in their favour (at least according to them). A British military base could be seen as a legitimate target, but that does not mean Cyprus cannot be angry about it. Missiles and drones do not always succesfully hit their target and innocent people were (and probably still are) in danger. I find it very understandable that Cyprus does not like this, but to repeat my initial point: the whole reason Iran targets a place like this is so other countries (e.g. Cyprus) pressure the US into halting their campaign. This is why i’m saying they shouldn’t voice their anger too publicly. Aside from what rights Iran does or does not have, and aside from how legal the attack from Israel and the US is; Iran considers us (the Europeans including Cyprus and the US) their enemy. We should not allow Iran to abuse out internal disagreements.

Iran attacked a British air force base in Cyprus, neither of those attacked Iran. Also, you can still be angry if somebody does something that is their right.

Last year, Russia and Belarus regained full membership rights in the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), after a vote by the organisation’s member states lifted their partial suspensions.
That opened the way for the IPC’s February announcement that it had granted permission for six Russian and four Belarusian para-athletes to take part in the upcoming games in Italy, which will take place from 6 to 15 March, under their national flags.
TVP said in its statement that it was “astonished” to learn of that decision, which it regards as “a disturbing manifestation of the blurring of responsibility of Russia and Belarus for crimes committed in Ukraine, and we do not and never will consent to this”.

Dutch government did too, might have sounded alarming until i read they think €70 per adult should be enough.
All Swedish adults should hold a week’s worth of cash at home so they can buy food, medicine and other essentials in case of a war or other crisis, Sweden’s central bank said.
In addition to the 1,000 kronor ($110) per adult […]

I think NATO effectively no longer exists anyway - better to get rid of it sooner rather than later.
De facto NATO is dead, because the US - it’s most powerful member - can no longer be trusted. I hope the political leaders of all other Member States see this.
But that doesn’t mean it no longer any value. It’s main goal has become deterrence, and Russia and China still need to be deterred.
because it has brought nothing but misery since the end of World War II.
This is totally false, you can argue it has brought misery but you cannot say it didn’t bring any good.
The 80 years before it’s creation (and the creation of the UN) have been much more violent than the 80 years since. Sure Asia and the Global South haven’t shared in the peace it brought, but it’s not like the west had brought peace there before.
There might be a better future without Nato, but i don’t think the world as a whole would’ve been better off if Nato never existed in the first place. The Sovjet union would probably still be there for example, and except for the ruling class that was not a nice place to live in.

Dutchie here, before Mark Rutte was SG of NATO he was our PM for over a decade where he earned the nickname Teflon Mark: no scandal sticks, no political storm makes him wet. Why? Because he can say anything in a way that makes you believe he is telling the truth. Before you know it this man has no active memory of any meeting that was about not-joining and suddenly ‘remember’ a meeting about joining. If you do not want your country participating in this war, do not sit back and relax because this guy says it won’t happen. He is not all bad, but i’d advise anyone (except Trump) to not take what he says too serious.

Cyprus is doing exactly what Iran wants them to. I totally agree with them, but still it’s be better if they are angry with Iran in public (and also with uk, but in private).

Might be too late now perhaps, but the EU could’ve stayed out of it if they wanted to, imo

As it allows to be drawn*
I intend to pass the loophole my parents gave me to my children, really grateful for it
In a lot of places a part of your income is exempt from taxes (eg brackets where you pay 0-20k @ 0%, 30-60k @ 30%, 60-100k @ 40%, 100k+ @ 50%; then your first 20k is not taxed), i think this is what they are talking about.
Edit: another possibility would be they do mean actual expenses, just reminded you can (partially) deduct education expenses from your taxes in the Netherlands.
I’m also pessimistic enough to expect it to come back, but it will likely have assume a new form (not necessarily a better one):
