Correct me if I’m wrong, but I seem to recall that US government structure has all police technically under the purview of the executive branch. It’s what allows the big boys to put in those mandatory reviews or ‘agreements’ with cities that are actively fucked up, right?

I was going to say something similar. When there’s no ‘pressure’ and you just get to learn it without being tested on it, and potentially have negative outcomes if you do poorly on that testing, then it’s just a neat fact much like any science meme being shared.

It’s probably a lot more regions than you’re aware of. A professor of mine used to love telling stories about going home during the summer, and his cousins would tell him he had to dig deep in the stew pot, because the puppy (the tender meat) was at the bottom.
