Yet another reason I’m against capital punishment.
They know via physical evidence exonerations that not all convicted murderers are actually guilty. And a dead person can only be exonerated posthumously.


Or, you could just… not execute him. It’s letting him off easy.
He’ll still be as dead at the end of a life sentence than he will be at the end of an execution, but with the latter, you let him skip decades of excruciatingly crappy prison life.
This is the same DOJ that thinks that “lightly tossing a sub sandwich at an agent wearing an entire suit of body armor” is somehow felony assault, so none of this is a surprise.
