It is that bad. The Americans who move to or visit Europe need funds and incentive to do that, which does not overlap with the poorest (and fattest) Americans.

linuxmemes@lemmy.world•We're catching strays at the No Kings protest!
2·13 days agoYeah, people often forget that most regents were at least to some extent elected. If the nobility/rich landowners didn’t want a specific regent then they were thrown out and a new one was found. Usually within the same line, though. A regent rarely had absolute power. For example Denmark has had a monarchy for over 1000 years but less than 200 of those were an actual absolute monarchy. Most of the time the regent was put in check by the nobility/landowners and the church etc.

I’ve always considered agnostics to be atheists who just don’t wanna debate. At least that’s why I used to call myself an agnostic when I was younger.
What’s the selling point on CachyOS? I use Pop os right now but I’m looking to swap to something new and I was never all that fond of Pop os. Before that I used Fedora which had an awful time running stable on my machine. Mostly I’m considering Debian
Lmao. In Europe Mac is mainstream and most people think I have MacOS installed when it’s in fact gnome

Fuck AI@lemmy.world•Lutris dev says he's cool with AI generated bugs because his code is already full of bugs

Normal EU pricing. Hopefully this shortage will cause people to seek alternative modes of transport.
My native language is not English and saying “sequel” in this language is extremely forced and just not the norm. This bleeds over into English for me.
I will always judge people who say “sequel”

98% of the time I wanted to do something, or had a problem I wanted to fix, the cause was Gnome. I hate Gnome. And coincidentally also feet.
I would say that disenfranchised people have the potential of making more valuable art that anyone in the upper class, simply because the have more to tell about the world they are living in. Sadly you are correct that art is a lot about your connections, your name, and finances. Which is also why I dislike most art. I wish it wasn’t this way.
