Context: it happened at the fence of the facility and the cars were driving out of it, so there’s no doubt these are ICE.

“We began to see ICE lining up behind the gates,” said Birdie Green, co-founder of Sussex Visibility Brigade and one of the organizers of the event. “That’s when GEO Group employees began driving through in their personal vehicles.”

Green said the woman, who she said is from Minnesota, was hit from behind by an employee’s car.

“She was not blocking vehicles, and could not see it coming,” Green said.

Soon after, ICE agents came outside and deployed pepper spray and mace, Green said.
