    It’s a global problem. European cities have horrible lead problems too in their old buildings, France is especially bad because it’s illegal to renovate the old buildings. Lead in our water is a global health crisis and leaders of the world seem to give zero fucks

      Is it allowed to reline the lead pipes with PET at least? These liners aren’t perfect, but they are a huge improvement over bare lead. These liners have an 80% reduction in lead ingestion. This process wouldn’t involve cutting into walls or replacing the lead. I just don’t know how broad the definition of “renovate” is here.
