I have always liked the idea of assembly languages being able to program so close to machine speed.
But working with assembly has always felt like trying to build a mansion with what was left over after several Category 5 hurricanes flattened an area… and with zero power tools and machinery, to boot. Just hand tools and no supplies except that which you can salvage.
I get the frustration. However, the satisfaction to build something this way weighed always bigger when the project was completed and working. At least for me.
Our professor did the same thing last year. There was this MIPS assembly tasks and he added extra info there lol
