A meme screenshot from the TV series “Home Improvement”. During a Halloween episode, teenager Randy Taylor is pictured in the kitchen discussing his Halloween plans with his mother (not pictured). The text on the meme reads “Watching in 1997: Ah yes, a lighthearted Republican joke on a family friendly sitcom. Amusing.” The next paragraph reads “Watching in 2026: squirms in discomfort”. The punchline on the meme is dialogue from Randy Taylor, displayed as subitles on the meme, which reads: “Yeah. We’re going as the scariest people we could think of: Republicans”.

I think the last time I listened to the Joe Rogan podcast was when he had Roseanne Barr on right after she was canceled for racist remarks.

Rogan really tried to save her by saying that she had brain damage from when she was a kid, and was a sleep deprived Ambien zombie at the time, but she wouldn’t have any of that. She just kept claiming that the she had no idea that the person who she called “Planet of the Apes” was black.

Anyways, Roseanne was complaining about how the writers for her show would put all sorts of jokes in at the expense of conservatives, but then when she wanted to put in jokes at the expense of progressives, they wouldn’t let her.

So I suspect Tim Allen probably didn’t have much to say about whether the Home Improvement writers ragged on lefties or righties.
