Organisations based on Germany tend to indicate this in their name. Like the German Red Cross, the German Life Saving Association, the German Football Union. There’s nothing theocratic about having “Germany” in the name of the German branch of the catholic church.

It might surprise you but the Branch of the Catholic Church in Germany is German.
“Germany” is the state that did nothing. Something happened in Germany, Germany had nothing to do with it.

It isn’t a quote, just a note that it is called Germany, not the Holy Roman Empire. Though every European country has strong theocratic legacies.
