The logic of our dear representatives seems to be that if the AfD don‘t win then they‘re not dangerous and if they win it‘s too late anyway…
If the process were to be started in March there’d be a slight chance of that happening before the next federal election. But I’d bet money on the AfD being allowed to partake in the next federal election.
