I thought it was negate hours hand was stuck in the door and he couldn’t remove it even if he wanted to. Certainly makes him more of a badass if he kept hanging on, though. I can’t find it, but there was another military member who attended a protest and something like 3 or 4 cops were trying to take down this mountain of a man. Trying to trip him, attacking his legs with batons. One of the strikes hit his hand, but ultimately, the cops couldn’t bring him down, and they just kinda left while he flipped them off. Turns out they broke his hand with that strike, too.
With a break like that your hand wouldn’t be working. He was definitely trapped.
Adrenaline is a helluva drug. I watched a video of an MMA fight where dude served up a 12 piece combo, got the W, and only upon raising his fist in victory did he realize punch #2/12 broke his own forearm.
