Fuck AI@lemmy.world•Professor Hides White Font in Midterm, Catches Students Using AI in the Stupidest Way Possible
14·5 days agoIt is the next level of laziness to not check what AI generates for you.
It is a very offensive and exaggerated meme for the gaming community, by the way.
So much noise about this event. I guess that not often something similar happens here.

11·8 days ago1 year old account and still haven’t learned to be a normal person and not a toxic b*tch. Good luck having the same attitude IRL and not get a solid feedback.

14·8 days agoSomewhere lower in this thread I explained(my opinion) why this dev has used this tactic of expressing points of view instead of simply presenting a modifiable, clearly visible and documented filter with a default option, that represents views of this dev. I don’t say that this dev is right, but I can understand the logic and motivation that were used to do so. And, yes, I can also be wrong. I don’t deny it.

16·8 days agoYou can do pretty much the same, toxic person.
It doesn’t take much time to figure out the rules here once you get used around and browse communities/modlog a few months deep. And it became clear to me, that there exist a lot of red flag moderators, whom it is reasonable to avoid engaging with. And also there exist other situation: when mod is relatevely OK, but the community itself is awful.
So, counter-question: you are seriously telling me that mods of blahaj instance don’t ban(especially permanently) on spot for any criticism/phobia towards LGBTQ+ community?

15·8 days agoThat is the whole point. Clearly visible, easily editible filter list about which it is clearly stated in documentation was the right thing to do. But, it wasn’t an effective solution, since most admins would have changed this list almost immediately resulting in very small efficiency of this filter, compared to what was initially intended. And since this dev explicitly wanted to affect maximum amount of people for maximum amount of time, this solution was better. Many people naively think that others would play by the rules delivering their revenge/justice or whatever, but this is not how it usually happens.

15·8 days agoMaybe no right, but certainly an ability. Because, how else would you revenge the mods/admins on the internet rather than throw some malware to them? (rhetorical question)

19·9 days agoYou are telling me this like I am that dev or, at least, know him. But there is a difference between protecting someone’s actions and explaining them or guessing what was the motivation. This dev has successfully dealt some damage as was intended, that is all. At least, it was just a shady censorship filter and not some real malware.

111·9 days agoChill out. I just explained the most possible reason of why this dev has done it. Maybe my formulation wasn’t totally clear, but my point of view is valid. It is the other thing that this dev has created a literal malvare to state his opinions about some communities and users. I don’t say that I support this dev, but I can understand the motivation to do so.

2·10 days agoDamn. They have patched it already. Sorry, haven’t known it.
Probably someone created it for prank/harmful purposes.

That is insane.
