Tell that to apple fans
What a nice way to say “I can’t back my standpoint up”. Anyway, do have a good day
Lol. Go on, show me how it is easier to understand structure of the code when I am 3 levels down, first two are already out of sight
No, it is an argument against it. We indent code so that it is more comfortable to read it, not in order to make it easier to understand
Human and machine read differently. If you ignore that (in case with indentation), then why bother with writing human-friendly form of code, when what is going to be really executed is something else?
Because I am not counting white space when I read. Or should we just write machine code/assembler/pick something straight away?
You are not alone, my friend
And it will. Why do you think they explained to me how car works long before I ever sat in a driver’s seat?

Lol. Imagine being so inept that you can’t imagine anyone preferring GUI over CLI
Downvotes you already have, so I will restrict myself to explaining:
- CLI is the only way I’ve ever installed anything in a Linux OS. Has served me well for a decade or more
- doing stuff without knowing what you are doing is going to land you in a mess, no matter how hard GUI tool devs are trying to prevent that

1·13 days agoThat (Youtube and Instagram etc. ) contributes, no doubt, but not a deciding factor. Way to check: is it possible to produce smart people from kids using electronic educational media without restrictions? May answer is “Yes, there is a way to do that” as in “no law of nature prevents this from happening”
But education is veery fucked. Not just in US. For many decades, in many ways. And this is not going to be fixed with changing print books to laptops, vice versa or with any other superficial way of pretending to care. I wish enough people understood this (edit: this does not refer to you, but to people in general. Many don’t even burden themselves with the matter)

substitute “Windows” with “computer”. If you have any history of resolving “this doesn’t work for me” on your own (as opposed to waiting for someone else do to it for you), you will be fine. Just be sure not to jump into unknown when you have urgent important things to do :)
