I just want any of these dipshits to do something. I can call Ted Cruz til I’m blue in the face but that bootlicking mouth breather will suck Donald’s cock til the cows come home. The entire point of separate but equal was meant to keep power in check not just let orange Hitler do his fucking damndest

I think the 25th amendment should be used before the 2nd. It’s not as if there isn’t a mountain of evidence.

Because I prefer a peaceful, lawful transition of power over a violent, bloody coup. We’ve seen the latter tried three times in this country, both successfully and unsuccessfully, and each time they were rather ugly affairs. Let’s try it differently this time, shall we?

And since the last two times were rather unsuccessful (not to mention, embarrassing) let’s see if we can get it right this time without doing our best to kill each other like a bunch of methed-up apes.

Edit: it says so much about this country that the citizens are literally willing to put their lives on the line to change this country, while those in power to change it simply with words aren’t even willing to put their careers on the line.

I prefer peace, but that option is dwindling day by day. The most peaceful option is voting, yet millions of people were denied the right to vote in the last election, and Republicans are gearing up to do it again in the midterms and beyond.

Peaceful protesters are being arrested or executed. People peacefully voicing dissent are being labeled terrorists, and the DOJ is being weaponized to go after peaceful political opponents. People peacefully and lawfully navigating the immigration process are being jailed, separated from their families, and deported to places they have never been before.

They have already chosen violence. While I prefer peace, if they want to remove all peaceful means available, then the only option left is to fight back.

That depends. How eager are you to see civilians mowed down by machine gun fire in US cities? Do you really think the 2nd amendment means shit in a country where the military mounts Browning machine guns on vehicles? People who think the 2nd amendment actually gives you a redress against the government fail to understand the doctrine of superior firepower. The 2nd Amendment is a dinosaur of extinct beliefs that ordinary people can fight highly trained soldiers and win. A Hollywood myth maintained by the right to keep the NRA wealthy and themselves in power. Anyone rebelling against the US Government will quickly find themselves either in prison or dead. Any other outcome is sheer myth. The government knows this. It’s the people that wear tacti-cool gear and cosplay in militias that are idiotic enough to believe that they stand a chance.

Yes, people suffer and die in armed revolutions. But there are very few “peaceful” revolutions that have been successful in history. Even Ghandi needed to benefit from armed revolutionaries fighting the British in the background to be the more reasonable choice. MLK needed the Black Panthers openly carrying firearms to advance black rights.

Until the populace is willing to die, nothing changes in a dictaorship. Sadly, the tree of liberty sometimes needs to be refreshed with the blood of patriots.

Ugh ok. I guess I’ll just accept the mundanity of overarching inhumane oppression without putting up any form of resistance whatsoever.

Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, probably Iran next all would love a word…

Small arms win revolutions, not planes and bombs. On top of that, it’s not easy to find people willing to kill people who sound and look like you…and it’s even harder to do in a country where you’re neighbor leans right and you lean left. You think they’re going to use precision guided shit for a single home?
